Hi, I’m Summer MacCool, and before I ask you to trust me with your life, I want you to know how I learned to trust mine.
I wasn't always someone who trusted herself.
As a child, I was wild, observant, curious, creative, and deeply willing to experience life. But like many of us, I slowly learned to look outside myself for answers—for approval, certainty, belonging, and someone who might know me better than I knew myself.
For many years, that search shaped my life.
It led me into a thirteen years immersion in the Northern Native American Suhtai tradition. It led me to study hypnotherapy, Reiki, shamanism, trauma-informed somatic work, and plant medicine integration. It led me across countries, into ceremonies, through teachers, and into countless experiences that expanded how I understood healing and consciousness.
Every step taught me something valuable. But none of them gave me what I was truly looking for. The greatest turning point in my life came after returning home from my first journey to Peru.
It wasn't another ceremony that changed me.
It was the moment I realized I could no longer give another person authority over my own inner knowing. That day, I made myself a promise.
I would never again look outside myself for validation or someone else's wisdom before listening to my own.
That promise changed everything. Today, I still learn from teachers. I still remain curious. I still believe wisdom can be found in traditions, ceremonies, science, nature, and community. But none of them replace the quiet wisdom that already lives within us.
That is the work I now offer others. Not because I have your answers. But because I know how to help you hear your own.
People often tell me they've never felt so understood. I think that's because I no longer need you to become someone different before I can meet you with compassion.
We become curious together. We make room for every part of your experience. Because I've discovered that healing rarely begins by rejecting ourselves.
Healing begins when we finally belong to ourselves. When our grief belongs. Our fear belongs. Our joy belongs. Our confusion belongs. When nothing inside us has to fight for permission to exist.
Over the years, I've watched something beautiful happen. People stop asking me what they should do. They begin telling me what they already know. They leave with greater trust in themselves. They understand why they think, feel, and respond the way they do. They speak with greater clarity. They move through uncertainty with more courage. They stop abandoning themselves to keep others comfortable. They become grounded enough to be both kind and honest. Strong enough to be deeply tender.
That, to me, is healing. Not becoming someone new. Remembering who you have always been.
I don't believe my job is to tell you who you are.
My work is to create the kind of space where you can finally hear yourself.
Sometimes that looks like thoughtful questions. Sometimes it's gentle challenge. Sometimes it's sitting quietly with what feels confusing until it begins to make sense.
I draw from many years of experience in trauma-informed somatic work, hypnotherapy, spiritual guidance, and plant medicine integration. But the tools are never the point.
The point is helping you reconnect with the wisdom, courage, and clarity that have always been yours.
Healing changes more than one life.
I've watched people become kinder to themselves.
Then I've watched them become kinder to their partners.
Their children.
Their families.
Their communities.
Healing doesn't stop with us.
Every time we learn to meet ourselves with honesty instead of shame, curiosity instead of judgment, and compassion instead of fear, the people around us experience that change too.
The world changes one nervous system, one conversation, and one relationship at a time.
Perhaps you're the kind of person I work best with...
You've already done some healing.
You know this work asks for courage.
You're willing to look honestly at yourself, even when it's uncomfortable.
You don't expect someone else to fix your life.
You want to understand yourself deeply enough that you can trust your own decisions, your own feelings, and your own inner knowing.
You're not looking for another authority.
You're ready to become one for yourself.
If that feels true...
We'll probably work beautifully together.
